Common questions
Before you buy ADAS equipment
What is the difference between static and dynamic calibration?
Dynamic calibrations are done with a scan tool and a test drive, with no fixtures. Static calibrations need targets placed precisely around the vehicle in the bay, which is what Ultimate ADAS® and DAS 3000 are built for.
Is Ultimate ADAS OEM approved?
Yes. Hunter has announced approvals from Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Subaru, Kia and Rivian.
Can I start with alignment and add static calibration later?
Yes. The HawkEye Elite® X upgrades to Ultimate ADAS®, keeping its camera sensors, console and ADASLink® scan tool.
Does the system document the calibration?
Yes. Ultimate ADAS® records confirmed placements and procedures in printed and digital reports, and HunterNet® 2 keeps the records online.
How much room does a calibration bay need?
It depends on the vehicles and procedures you plan to run. We measure the bay at the site visit before quoting rather than guessing from a phone call.
What about vehicles with a secure gateway?
ADASLink® provides OEM approved secure gateway access to Stellantis, Hyundai, Kia and more.
